To celebrate our first year anniversary the MAda Shell Gallery will be opening, “The Nude”; a collection of work celebrating the human body. Over 20 artists from Oregon, California, Michigan, the UK, and Japan have offered their work to be exposed. All pieces convey the beauty of the human form and respect it as neither lewd nor indecent. Artists include Otto, Catie Faryl, Eric Navickas, Amy Godard, Daniel Verner, Timothy Bullard, Zoe Alowan, Anya Kumara, Suzia Aufterheide, Debra Thornton, Ann DiSalvo, Lisa Byrne, Kurt Mottram, Rivers Brown, William F. Storm, Shane Gardner, Steve Mclaren, Azade Erhun, Jim Owens, Joe Stanford, Cyndy Gott, Abby Lazerow and more. We will also host a sermon in the nude by Brad Carrier as well as live music by Aletha Nowitzky and Daniel Verner.
This show is a response to a city-wide ban on nudity recently passed by the Ashland City Council.
